School Catering Assistant Opportunity

CV-Library is working with Wellsprings Trust to find a reliable and experienced Catering Assistant to join their team.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in a dynamic environment, providing delicious meals to children and supporting the school's community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support with food preparation, serving, washing up, and cleaning to ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to prepare meals that cater to special dietary requirements and allergies.
  • Assist with recipe costing, stock control, and record keeping to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a catering or busy kitchen environment, with a strong understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to obtain a DBS certificate on the update service and provide two professional references covering the last 24 months.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £9-11 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
