Fusion Futures Communications and Engagement Lead

We are seeking an experienced communications specialist to join our team as the Communications and Engagement Lead for Fusion Futures' LIBRTI programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project that aims to lay the groundwork for fusion powerplant-scale tritium breeding.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver a comprehensive communications plan for the LIBRTI programme, including stakeholder engagement and external communications.
- Work closely with the Fusion Futures programme team and UKAEA's Communications department to ensure effective communication of programme progress and plans.
- Design and deliver events, such as webinars, supply chain events, and on-site conferences, to promote the LIBRTI programme and Materials division.
- Develop and manage supporting materials, including presentations, press releases, web copy, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Build relationships with senior personnel across UKAEA and stakeholders in the fusion and nuclear landscape.
The successful candidate will have a degree-level education or equivalent, with proven experience in engagement campaigns and communications planning and delivery. They will possess excellent leadership skills, writing and interpersonal skills, and be able to develop content for various internal and external channels. A knowledge of stakeholders in the fusion and nuclear landscape would be advantageous but not essential.
