Fusion Futures LIBRTI Communications and Engagement Opportunity
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced communications specialist to join our team as the Communications Lead for the LIBRTI ('lithium breeding tritium') programme. This is an exciting opportunity to devise, develop, and deliver the PR and stakeholder engagement plan for Fusion Futures' LIBRTI.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Fusion Futures programme and the UKAEA Communications teams to promote world-leading innovation and boost general industry capacity through international collaboration and the development of future commercial fusion powerplants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for LIBRTI.
- Be the primary point of contact for technical communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote programme progress and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the events team to design and deliver events, such as webinars and conferences.
- Tailor communications and messaging for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage supporting materials, such as presentations, press releases, and marketing materials.
- Report to the LIBRTI programme board on feedback and shape onward communications direction.
- Build relationships with senior personnel across UKAEA.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a degree-level education or equivalent, with proven experience in engagement campaigns and communications planning and delivery. Excellent leadership, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential. A knowledge of stakeholders in the fusion and nuclear landscape is advantageous but not essential.
