Nurse Leadership Role

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Leader to join their team. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate play a pivotal role in supporting the nursing teams throughout the 24-hour day.
Main Responsibilities:- Assist the Senior Sister/Ward Manager in ensuring high standards of nursing care are provided at all times.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for patients with long-standing health issues.
- Act as a role model, promoting quality evidence-based practice and developing the nursing team.
- Registered Nurse Level 1 qualification.
- Recognised teaching/assessing qualification.
- At least 18 months of experience at Band 5 or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to teach, supervise, and assess qualified and unqualified staff.
The successful candidate will work on Mulberry Ward, a 16-bed Discharge ward caring for patients who have been treated in the acute ward and require support for safe discharge.
An estimated salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum is available for this position, reflecting the level of experience and qualifications required.
