PET/CT & CT Clinical Specialist Radiographer

At The Placement Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist Radiographer to join our team in London. As a key member of our Molecular Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of CT and PET/CT scans, ensuring the highest level of patient care and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform CT and PET/CT scans with precision and accuracy.
  2. Act as an Operator under IR(ME)R17, ensuring compliance with legislative and hospital policies.
  3. Ensure quality assurance of equipment, reporting faults and implementing corrective action as needed.
  4. Liaise with reporting consultants to clarify or discuss requests for complex examinations.
  5. Prioritize patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality.
  6. Maintain a high standard of patient care through good clinical practice.
  7. Work unsupervised, seeking advice from the superintendent or medical staff when required.
  8. Rotate between departments as needed.
  9. Assist with training of new staff.
  10. Support departmental audits in accordance with clinical governance policies.
  11. Implement new policies within the department and monitor their effectiveness.
Requirements:
  1. BSc Radiography.
  2. HCPC registration (essential).
  3. Previous senior-level experience with comprehensive post-qualification work experience in CT.
