Job Title: Clinical Specialist Radiographer

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Radiographer to join our Imaging team at The Princess Grace Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. As a Clinical Specialist Radiographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic radiography services to our patients and service users.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a 5-day working pattern (Monday to Friday). The role will involve working with our team of highly skilled and experienced radiographers to deliver a five-star patient experience in world-class facilities. You will be required to:

  • Provide a professional standard of excellence in MRI services for all patients
  • Work closely with radiologists and consultants to set up policies and protocols for all MRI imaging and patient pathways
  • Adjust and utilize the appropriate sequences tailored to the specific scan requirements, collaborating closely with radiologists to ensure optimal imaging outcomes
  • Identify improvements on an ongoing basis and oversee the implementation of such improvements as agreed with the line manager
  • Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary, ensuring verified radiologist reports are delivered in a timely manner
  • Assist with staff orientation and training of new team members, audits, and QA
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, scan protocols, and equipment maintenance records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HCPC registration
  • Degree in Radiography
  • Extensive experience working within MRI, either as a Band 6 or Band 7 equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of processes and procedures within MRI scanning
  • In-depth knowledge of MRI safety on patients with implants
  • Experience working with Siemens MRI scanners
