Barnardo's is a leading children's charity that works tirelessly to provide support and care to vulnerable children and young people across the UK.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where every child and young person can thrive. Our Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire, is a new service that aims to provide short-term placements for children and young people aged 8-18.

As a Residential Support Professional, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To establish trusting relationships with service users and promote their independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
  • To work collaboratively with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
  • To maintain a safe and welcoming environment in the home, including contributing to cooking, cleaning, and upkeep tasks.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve it within the required timeframe.
  • Motivation to make a positive difference in young people's lives and create a safe space for them to thrive.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children and young people.
  • Flexibility to commit to sleep-ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.

What We Offer:

  • A salary of £26,500 - £31,500 per annum, depending on experience.
