Depot Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Manager to join our team at Biffa. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our depot and supporting our out-based operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all depot-based resources to optimize operational productivity and service standards.
  • Monitor and manage the full depot profit and loss budget, delegating accountability where necessary to ensure year-on-year growth.
  • Collaborate with our Business Improvement Manager to ensure local customers receive excellent service and value.
  • Set and agree clear objectives with operational staff, monitoring their performance and taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice in cost control and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role in services or logistics.
  • CPC Qualification.
  • Ability to work in a commercially driven and time-critical environment.
  • Experience of people and health and safety management in a unionized and multi-shift environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
