About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We're seeking a Land Surveyor in the North Chilterns Area to support the Senior Land Surveyor in establishing and maintaining the site survey control network. This role involves undertaking land/topographic/hydrographic/measured building surveys, analyzing data using plans, maps, charts, and software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and GIS programs. The successful candidate will prepare survey drawings, present data to clients, and write reports. They will also coordinate with Site Engineers and consultants for implementation, changes of plans, or deviations, and rectification work. Setting out and as-built surveys, topographical and engineering surveys, and managing registration and post-processing of Point Cloud Data are also key responsibilities. GNSS network surveying, precise traversing, and precise levelling for breakdown from primary survey control, and managing Drones surveys for earthwork measures are also essential tasks. The ideal candidate will have a HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent, and experience within a similar role and with similar values. They will also have experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments, expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers, excellent AutoCAD skills, and good communication and report writing skills.
