About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We're seeking to recruit a Land Surveyor in the North Chilterns Area. This role is a key part of our team, responsible for establishing and maintaining the site survey control network to report and validate different construction stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake land/topographic/hydrographic/measured building surveys using specialist equipment and technology, such as robotics and 3D scanners.
  • Analyze data using plans, maps, charts and software like AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center and GIS programs.
  • Prepare survey drawings with the Senior Land Surveyor, presenting data to clients and writing reports.
  • Coordinate with Site Engineers for project implementation, changes of plans or deviations, unusual activities or non-conformances rectification work and coordinate with consultants for Inspection & Approval.
  • Set out and as-built surveys, carry out Topographical and Engineering Surveys (Laser Scanner) and manage the registration and post processing of Point Cloud Data.
  • GNSS network surveying, precise traversing and precise levelling for breakdown from primary survey control and manage Drones surveys for earthwork measures.
About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • HND/degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent.
  • Experience within a similar role and with similar values.
  • Experience in preparing survey-related Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels and GNSS receivers.
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Good communication (both written and verbal) skills, solid report writing and compilation skills.
  • Proficient in using survey software like Trimble Business Center.
  • Full UK driving License is required.
  • CSCS Card either Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced.
