Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

Laundryheap is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Lead the Warehouse Linen team, including scheduling shifts and managing time-off requests, train and onboard new hires to ensure team alignment, and monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Picking and Packing: Participate in daily picking and packing operations, ensuring accuracy and speed, and maintain high standards for packing quality and timely dispatch.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels through regular cycle counts and conduct stock reconciliations, reorder stock as necessary, and manage storage space to optimize efficiency.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout, ensure the proper use of equipment and tools, promoting safety and efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal company policies.
  • Logistics Coordination: Provide regular updates to the management team on stock needs and operational metrics, ensure that all counts and records are accurate and up-to-date, and handle order-related issues and discrepancies, liaising with the fleet team based in India for resolution.
  • Reporting & Administration: Prepare regular performance and inventory reports, maintain and organize all necessary documentation, including inventory and safety logs, and ensure emergency procedures are in place and properly communicated to all staff.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role.
  • Strong people management skills, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, familiarity with warehouse management systems and processes, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, good problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and solutions, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in warehouse operations, experience in inventory management and stock control, and proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, warehouse management software).
  • Work Schedule and Patterns: 9-hour shift (8 working hours + 1 hour break), 5 days a week, must be willing to work weekends as needed.
