About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sustaining Engineering Specialist to join our team at AMETEK, Inc. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects in the aerospace, land-based systems, rail, and oil & gas industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and validating product issues during production or in-service operation. They will work closely with the Operations team and external Customers to ensure continuity of supply of existing products or the repair of in-service products out of production.

The Senior Sustaining Engineering Specialist will have experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong understanding of basic electrical controllers. They will be able to define corrective actions, component alternatives, or re-design proposals to address delivery, yield, or performance issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze product-related issues during production or in-service operation.
  • Define corrective actions, component alternatives, or re-design proposals.
  • Support production assembly and test teams to resolve design-related yield or performance issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address product design, yield, or performance issues.
  • Produce and review engineering documents.
