Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Sustaining Engineering team, supporting the ongoing production and in-service operation of products for aerospace, land-based systems, rail, and oil & gas industries.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Analyzing and validating product-related issues arising during production or in-service operation.
  2. Defining corrective actions, component alternatives, or redesign proposals to address production or in-service related issues impacting delivery, yield, or performance.
  3. Supporting production assembly and test teams to resolve design-related yield or performance issues.
  4. Visiting suppliers to assist with product design, yield, or performance issues.
  5. Producing and reviewing engineering documents, such as drawings, specifications, reports, procedures, and change notifications.
  6. Collaborating with multidisciplinary and inter-departmental teams to support Sustaining Engineering activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Undertaking training requirements identified by the role manager.
  2. Providing flexible support outside of normal tasks to ensure customer satisfaction during periods of reduced staff attendance.
  3. Taking on ad-hoc duties, including training, departmental tasks, and brief secondments to other departments.

This Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position offers a competitive salary range of approximately $95,000 - $125,000 per annum, depending on experience, and benefits that align with industry standards.
