London, Greater London, United Kingdom NatWest Group Full time
Capital Forecasting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Forecasting Manager to join our team at NatWest Group.

About the Role

This is a critical role that will support the capital needs of our major business capital entities. As a Capital Forecasting Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing capital and HoldCo plans for regulated legal entities, ensuring there is sufficient supply to meet demand over the planning horizon for base and stress scenarios.

You will work closely with senior team members to ensure that capital management is cohesive, aligned, and holistic in its approach. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with capital planning activities within Treasury and across the bank, ensuring they are robust and controlled.
  • Manage capital injections and instigate capital restructurings alongside relevant stakeholders.
  • Understand policy development that impacts regulatory capital management.
  • Maintain market standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide capital forecasts for the bank and each material legal operating entity.
  • Ensure capital plans reflect both legal entity and franchise needs.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need treasury or banking experience, risk management skills, and general banking product knowledge. You should have an awareness of best practice financial and treasury activities undertaken in peer external organisations and how to leverage opportunities for business improvement.

An accountancy, banking, or treasury qualification is essential. You will also need strong IT skills, ideally with good working knowledge of PCBS infrastructure, and an awareness of relevant financial, regulatory, and legislative developments affecting capital frameworks.

Good communication, influencing, and negotiation skills are required, as well as experience of managing relationships with senior stakeholders across multiple divisions and regions.
