Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing daily clinical operations of the Echocardiography Lab, including performing Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Contrast Studies using Definity, Bubble Studies, Stress Echocardiograms, and Chemical Stress Echocardiograms.

Preliminary interpretation of studies, including an assessment of ventricular performance, is also required. The sonographer will utilize 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler techniques to evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data while assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patients and developing a plan for accomplishing procedure(s) ordered
  • Setting up the room and equipment to accomplish the procedure
  • Ensuring quality images
  • Providing services that include evaluating and recording pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data

Requirements:

  • Training from a Cardio-Vascular program
  • A minimum of three years practical experience or equivalent
  • RDMS or RCS certification

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
