Job Description

We are partnering with a leading health and life insurer to find a skilled Software Asset Management Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for building and developing processes in SAM, particularly with experience in managing complex software licensing environments.

About the Role:

The SAM Specialist will focus on managing software assets for a major vendor, working closely with a team to establish the SAM process from the ground up. This role will give you the opportunity to work with multiple major vendors, such as IBM, Oracle, VMware, and Microsoft, and to collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams. You'll be expected to bring a strategic mindset to the role and help shape the software asset management function.

  • Develop and implement SAM processes for a key vendor.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.
  • Collaborate with external partners, including a project manager and data analysts, as well as offshore teams.
  • Manage software licensing positions in data centre environments.
  • Proven experience with major vendors such as IBM, Oracle, VMware, and Microsoft.
  • Understanding of data centre complexities related to software asset management.

The Team and Environment:
