Software Asset Management Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Asset Manager to join our team at Vitality Corporate Services Limited. As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for the development and management of centralized policies, processes, and procedures for the management of technology software assets.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain centralized policies, processes, and procedures for software asset management
* Manage the rollout, maintenance, and administration of a Software Asset Management solution
* Record license entitlement, re-harvest, and identify areas of cost optimization opportunities
* Lead the design, development, and maintenance of workflow approvals for software license management requests
* Design, develop, and maintain software asset templates in the software asset management solution
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and identify and escalate data completeness and quality issues
* Manage inquiries about software usage, deployment, license availability, process, and governance
* Support the organization's response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests

Requirements

* 3+ years of relevant experience in an operational or IT environment
* Software Asset Management qualification or more than 4 years of relevant experience with management of software licenses
* Certified Administrator in software asset management tool or 4+ years of experience using a Software Asset Management tool, Flexera preferred
* Experience of managing multiple priorities
* Proven ability to identify and improve performance measurement and reporting processes in a large organization
* Experience of creating and distributing comprehensive reports from multiple sources back to the business
* Demonstrable ability to manipulate data and summarize complex reports to present to non-specialists
* Fully conversant with Microsoft Office Professional, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel (advanced skills), and common diagramming tools
* Ability and confidence to take charge of diverse tasks and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment
* Ability to present in a professional and business-like manner to internal and external customers/stakeholders
* Handling confidential information with tact and sensitivity
