About the Role

The Director of Museum Operations and Trading will be responsible for contributing to the museum's short, medium, and long-term business planning, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction. They will lead successful financial outcomes, develop budgets, and ensure prudent use of resources.

  • Develop and implement sustainable and equitable strategic plans to drive innovation, excellence, and manage risk across the museum's teams.
  • Lead on transformational change to impact trading, engagement, and culture, bringing strong commercial insight and the ability to scan horizons for diversification opportunities.
  • Recognise Black Country Living Museum as an opportunity to platform best practice in all areas, influencing and contributing to national policy and thinking.
