Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team at Penryn Surgery as a Clinical Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of effective medicines management strategies, working closely with our clinical partners and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Main Duties

  • Develop and manage a medicines management plan, ensuring compliance with practice policy and national guidance.
  • Lead the medicines management team, providing training and support to maximize cost-effective prescribing and improve patient care.
  • Be the first point of contact for patients regarding their medicines, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work with the wider team to develop and update relevant policies, ensuring seamless integration with practice procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and professional leadership to the medicines management team.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Lead the development and implementation of medicines management policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the practice manager and clinical partners to ensure seamless integration with practice procedures.

Requirements

  • Pharmacist registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • 3 years post-qualification experience, with a strong focus on medicines management and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
