About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contractors Engineering Manager to join our rail team in the Eastern region, supporting multi-disciplinary rail civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design delivery process for internal and external designers, primarily dedicated to schemes within regional frameworks.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and CRE(s) to ensure the engineering process is managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and agree engineering processes and deliverables for projects, in accordance with Governance of Railway Infrastructure Projects (GRIP).
  • Prepare and manage design reviews, and arrange meetings with clients, designers, and colleagues to secure design and implementation.
  • Review project-generated documentation, including CPPs, WPPs, TBs, Specifications, and drawings.
  • Provide approval for construction methodologies and brief out changes to standards to the project team.
Requirements
  • Approved as a CEM within a rail contracting organisation.
  • Extensive railway and civils project experience.
  • Degree/HNC or HND in civil engineering or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role.
