About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced professional to fill the position of Senior Marketing and Development Officer. This is a full-time, permanent role based in the Royal Tunbridge Wells area, with a focus on term-time only (39 weeks per year + 5 INSET days, plus additional 2 weeks to be worked during the summer holidays and paid on claim).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing, alumni, and fundraising strategy to cultivate a coherent and dynamic school development plan.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the local business community, alumni, and stakeholders to support reputation, fundraising, and careers.
  • Design and produce high-quality marketing collateral, communications, and social media content to promote the school's mission and values.
  • Coordinate and manage school marketing, fundraising, and alumni events, ensuring alignment with the school's strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain a centralized database management system for alumni and parent fundraising, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ensure compliance with Safeguarding and Child Protection regulations, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Manage and motivate volunteers working on school development campaigns, providing a central Board liaison point.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing, fundraising, and alumni relations, with a strong understanding of school development and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, communications, or business administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience in database management and digital marketing tools.
