Dietetic Assistant Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Dietetic Assistant to join our team at Elysium Healthcare Limited in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic chance to work in a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 8-18 years and develop your skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Dietitian to provide support for therapeutic interventions, collect nutritional data, and review clients' needs. You will also be responsible for updating information resources, monitoring compliance with dietary advice, and reporting progress.

Your Key Tasks:

  1. Provide support for therapeutic interventions.
  2. Collect and record data for audit or research purposes.
  3. Promote healthy eating to young people within a nutrition education framework.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in CAMHS or eating disorder services.
  • Holding the NCFE CACHE level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services or The NCFE CACHE level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support.
  • A basic understanding of nutrition and dietetics related to eating disorders.
  • An awareness of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with mental health issues or disabilities.
