Sustainable Energy Regulation Specialist

The Office for Product Safety and Standards is seeking a Sustainable Energy Regulation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement effective regulatory strategies, ensuring compliance with energy regulations and promoting a thriving energy market.

In this role, you will contribute to reducing carbon emissions, protecting consumers, and shaping a sustainable energy future for the country. You will lead a team of enforcement officers and technical experts, creating and implementing comprehensive operational plans that ensure compliance with energy regulations.

About the Role

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans that ensure compliance with energy regulations.
  • Lead enforcement activities that guarantee industry compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide advice that supports business improvements and enhances consumer protection.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree or its equivalent in engineering or a related field, along with strong analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in delivering technical regulations or operational projects in the utilities sector.

Salary

The salary for this role is £39,384 - £43,169 per annum (National) or £43,007 - £46,715 per annum (London), depending on location.
