Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to the Orthopaedics team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This role involves managing clinics, correspondence, and patient interactions, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills.

As a key member of the Clinical Unit, the Service Coordinator will work closely with Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and other Service Coordinators to ensure seamless administrative support. This includes managing clinics, preparing correspondence, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a clinical or medical environment, with strong administrative skills and the ability to work autonomously. They will be highly organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage clinics and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Unit team to ensure seamless administrative support, including preparing correspondence and managing clinics.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
