About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Property Repairs Operative to join our Property Services Team at Rugby Borough Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of building maintenance and repair tasks across various trades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out multi-trade repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting and decorating
  • Work on flooring, fencing, and other building maintenance tasks
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative when required
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a strong focus on health and safety
Requirements
  • Proficiency in at least several of the following trades: multi-trade repairs, flooring, fencing, painting and decorating, carpentry, and plumbing
  • Basic IT skills (in-house training will be provided)
  • Ability to work in adverse conditions and flexibility to work overtime when required
  • Full valid UK driving license
  • Ability to provide own basic tools
