Housing Maintenance and Voids Surveyor

Rugby Borough Council is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation dedicated to the growth and development of our community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Housing Maintenance and Voids Surveyor to join our Property Repairs Team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy service area, delivering effective day-to-day maintenance, repair, and improvement services. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting properties, investigating complaints, and diagnosing defects. They will also provide detailed specifications for repairs operatives and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting habited and void properties to identify maintenance and repair needs
  • Investigating complaints and disrepair claims to ensure prompt resolution
  • Diagnosing defects and providing detailed specifications for repairs
  • Preparing specifications for contractors to tender for works
  • Collaborating with colleagues and customers to deliver a high-quality service
