About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Professionals Limited as a Care Support Worker - Learning Disabilities Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor patient conditions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective interventions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes and promote independence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each service user.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in learning disabilities care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience in a learning and disability hospital environment within the last 3 years.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
