Senior Support Worker Position in Lowestoft

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at a reputable care home in Lowestoft.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact on the lives of residents with dementia, providing person-centred care and support.

The successful candidate will have or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate daily needs assessment and planning for residents.
  • Conduct regular supervisions and appraisals to ensure effective support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Engage with relatives, prospective residents, and enquiries to promote services offered.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident documentation and care planning.
  • Administer medication according to policies and procedures.

Favourable Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a care setting, particularly with individuals with dementia.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and residents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A genuine desire to provide high-quality care and support to others.
