We are seeking a dedicated Education Support Specialist to join our team in East Suffolk. As an Education Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs and promoting positive behavior and emotional well-being.

About the Role
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and resources, ensuring each student receives tailored support.
  • Support Year 6 pupils in preparing for their transition to secondary education.
  • Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being, aligning with the school's ethos.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEND), preferably in a classroom setting.
  • A caring and patient approach, with a proactive attitude towards supporting students.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • A commitment to the role for the long term, coupled with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
