About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Disabilities Trust. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities, and/or sensory impairments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals, promoting independence and empowerment
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individual care plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment

Requirements

  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of individuals with acquired brain injuries and disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in areas such as person-centered support and rehabilitation techniques
