Advanced Practitioner/Trainee Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner/Trainee Advanced Practitioner to join our Orthopaedic team in Planned Care at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of clinical excellence in the department.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake physical examinations, diagnose conditions, and initiate treatment as required.
- Perform clinical procedures, including invasive testing and treatments, with high precision and skill.
- Request investigations, analyze data, and make clinical judgments to ensure optimal patient care.
- Prescribe medication, review treatment plans, and ensure patient safety and clinical governance.
- Act as a resource for staff, advising on local, national, and Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Work in partnership with senior medical, nursing, and AHP teams to drive departmental development and change.
- Manage staff performance, training, and supervision of trainee ACPs, including annual appraisals.
- Support patients, carers, and staff during difficult situations, such as breaking bad news or following an unexpected event.
- Take responsibility for their own learning and performance, participating in clinical supervision and maintaining awareness of relevant research evidence.
- Develop health promotion and education in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, ensuring patient care is based on research and best practice.
- RGN/HCPC Registered professional
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
- Qualification in Advanced Assessment Skills with evidence of clinical practice
- Registered independent non-medical prescriber
