Advanced Clinical Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Orthopaedics team in Planned Care at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Trauma and Orthopaedics, with experience in clinical leadership and education. They will be responsible for promoting clinical excellence in patient care, developing and supporting audit and research projects, and participating in the implementation of departmental policies and guidelines.

The role will involve working collaboratively with the senior medical, nursing, and AHP teams to drive departmental development and change. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing staff performance, training, and supervision of trainee ACPs, as well as supporting staff development and education.

We are looking for a candidate who is clinically credible, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is able to work autonomously with critical analysis and decision-making skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical advice and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Develop and support audit and research projects
  • Participate in the implementation of departmental policies and guidelines
  • Manage staff performance, training, and supervision of trainee ACPs
  • Support staff development and education

Requirements

  • RGN/HCPC Registered professional
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
  • Qualification in Advanced Assessment Skills with evidence of clinical practice
  • Registered independent non-medical prescriber
  • Teaching qualification
