We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Operations Manager to oversee the housekeeping operations at Haddington Care Home. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping staff and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the care home.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing housekeeping teams and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.

The Key Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Team Management: Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, assigning tasks and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees, evaluate their performance, and provide ongoing support to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Task Management: Schedule and delegate work for daily cleaning, laundry, and other essential tasks to ensure all areas are well-maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Inspection: Inspect residents' rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards.
  • Complaint Handling: Address and resolve complaints and requests from residents and staff promptly and professionally.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to and enforce proper safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Liaison Role: Act as the point of contact between the housekeeping department and other key departments to ensure seamless communication.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget for housekeeping operations, keeping accurate records of expenses and working within financial guidelines.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with management and attend meetings as required to discuss operations and improvements.
