Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Swadlincote

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £90-£100 per week

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol National Limited. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide pastoral and academic support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Assist the class teacher with lessons, handing out materials, and monitoring behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure the highest level of care and support for pupils.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with challenging behavior and Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • DBS check and right to work in the UK.
