We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Equity Derivatives Lawyer to join our Global Banking and Markets legal team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on a wide range of equity derivative products, including structured transactions and proprietary indices.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in derivatives law and experience working with trading businesses. You will be responsible for advising on regulatory, documentation, risk management, and cross-border legal issues, as well as analyzing the legal and regulatory impacts of new products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on equity derivative products, including structured transactions and proprietary indices
  • Advise on regulatory, documentation, risk management, and cross-border legal issues
  • Analyze the legal and regulatory impacts of new products and services
  • Assist with the structuring, negotiation, and drafting of transactional documents
  • Provide equity product expertise internally and externally
Requirements
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house
  • Strong background in derivatives law and experience working with trading businesses
  • Familiarity with regulations relevant to derivatives and/or equity markets
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to develop in the team
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively and respond to client demands in a timely manner
