Job Title: Equity Derivatives Lawyer

Barclays is seeking a highly skilled Equity Derivatives Lawyer to provide legal support for the Structured and Strategic Equity Derivatives businesses. As a key member of the team, you will advise on transactions, regulatory change, and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to the business units in the Markets division on matters arising from the relevant products/services provided by the Markets division.
  • Develop and implement best practice legal strategies to manage compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Creation and review of legal documents for the business units in the Markets division to ensure the bank's compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Legal research and analysis to stay up to date on changes in applicable laws, rules, and regulations that may impact the activities of the bank's Markets business units.
  • Developing and delivering training programs to educate employees on legal and regulatory requirements related to the activities of the Markets business units.
Requirements:
  • Experience gained in either private practice or in-house in a finance legal team.
  • Strong understanding of equity derivatives and share buybacks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
