University Careers Consultant

The University of Oxford's Careers Service is seeking an experienced University Careers Consultant to join their team. As a key member of the service, you will provide expert careers guidance to research staff across the university, promoting the development of their skills and knowledge to support their research goals.
About the RoleIn this role, you will work closely with research staff to understand their needs, identify opportunities for growth, and develop tailored strategies to enhance their careers. You will also contribute to the design and delivery of training programs and workshops that cater to the specific needs of research staff.
Key RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A deep understanding of the research landscape and the challenges faced by research staff.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality careers guidance services in an academic or related environment.
This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) with a fixed term until July 2025. You will be expected to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of research staff.
