As a Student Accommodation Strategist for Oxford Universities, you will play a key role in enhancing the student experience by driving the growth and improvement of our collegiate accommodation service. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a brand-new service that supports graduate students in finding suitable accommodation within the University and across all colleges.

About the Role

The Collegiate Accommodation Service Manager has been established to cater to the needs of graduate students seeking accommodation beyond their own college. As a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of student accommodation challenges, you will collaborate with Accommodation Managers in colleges and the Graduate Accommodation Service in Estates to ensure seamless support for students.

You will be responsible for reporting on the performance of the service and proposing innovative ideas for growth and enhancement to college and University committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student satisfaction and retention rates through enhanced accommodation services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish robust standards and KPIs for measuring service performance
  • Engage multiple stakeholders to develop strong working relationships and drive collaboration towards shared goals
  • Design and deliver training programs to equip staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional customer service
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centricity
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A thorough understanding of student accommodation, including insight into the challenges faced by students
  • Motivation to pick up the service in its pilot stages and drive growth in line with the needs of the University and its colleges
  • The ability to engage multiple stakeholders and develop strong working relationships
  • A desire to work within and promote a culture of customer service and continuous improvement
