Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Shared Services Centre R2R team. As a key member of the team, you will provide support to the Financial Accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, compliance with local legislation, and efficient period close processes.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure fiscal and statutory requirements are observed to maintain company compliance
- Prepare and review month-end and year-end reports, including management accounts, operating expenses, and group projects
- Collaborate with the AP and AR teams to ensure accurate reporting and efficient period close processes
- Communicate with local Devro leadership and Group finance teams to ensure alignment and timely decision-making
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Protect company assets by enforcing controls and company policies
- Support the communication of deviations from expected financial performance
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by the Devro businesses
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Accountant with a strong background in financial accounting and reporting. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
