Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our Shared Services Centre R2R team. As a key member of the team, you will provide support to the Financial Accountants to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, statutory compliance, and reporting for Devro USA, Devro Australia, Devro Asia, and Devro Scotland.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure fiscal and statutory requirements are observed to maintain compliance with local legislation
- Prepare and review month-end and year-end reports, including management accounts, operating expenses, group projects, and exceptional items
- Collaborate with the AP and AR teams to ensure accurate and efficient period close process
- Communicate regularly with local Devro leadership and Group finance teams
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
- Protect company assets by enforcing controls and company policies
- Proactively support the communication of deviations from expected financial performance
- Provide support on ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by the Devro businesses
