Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Assistant at Recooty, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our care home facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility's maintenance systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems. You will also assist residents with minor repairs and adjustments within their living spaces, and respond to residents' maintenance requests in a timely and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct regular checks of safety equipment and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of outdoor areas.
  • Resident Support: Assist residents with minor repairs and adjustments, and foster positive relationships with residents.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field
  • Basic DIY skills and experience in maintenance procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
