SEN Teaching Assistant Role for Psychology Graduates

Ribbons & Reeves is excited to offer a unique opportunity for Psychology Graduates to gain valuable experience in the field of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Mental Health.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is based at a mainstream school with a high percentage of students with SEN and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, a passion for education, and a commitment to supporting children with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Supporting children aged between 11-16
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans

Requirements:

  • Psychology Graduate with at least a 2:1 degree classification
  • Impressive academic record at GCSE and A-Level
  • Calm and patient individual with a passion for education

What We Offer:

  • Long-term contract from September 2024 until July 2025
  • Opportunities for permanent contracts commencing August 2025
  • Competitive salary of £475-£500 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)
