Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary/Secondary School in London. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning or behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure that the learning environment is adapted to meet each student's unique needs.
* Assist in the development and implementation of educational activities that engage and support SEN students, helping them access the curriculum and succeed academically.
* Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development by fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitor and track the progress of SEN students, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents and contributing to review meetings.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
* A strong understanding of various SEN conditions, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, and a commitment to inclusive education.
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students, with the ability to adapt to different needs and situations.
* Relevant training or qualifications in SEN support (e.g., PECS, Makaton, Autism training) would be an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
