Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary/Secondary School in London. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning or behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting to their unique needs and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in creating engaging educational activities that cater to the needs of SEN students, promoting academic success and social-emotional growth.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents, and contributing to review meetings.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEN students or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of various SEN conditions, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students, with the ability to adapt to different needs and situations.
