We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our Bank Catering Team at Chestnut Tree House, a children's hospice providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing and cooking nutritional meals for children and young people, working to planned menus and liaising with care staff as required.
- Assisting with general cleaning duties and maintaining kitchen and cooking areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Catering for dietary and allergy requirements, including pureeing meals.
- Assisting with menu planning, ordering, and supervising staff as needed.
- Providing flexible and team-oriented support to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
You will need to have a flexible approach, be comfortable working in a hospice environment, and have access to your own transport due to the remote location.
Food Hygiene Level 2 and/or previous experience of catering in a care environment would be an advantage.
