About the Role

We are seeking a skilled culinary specialist to join our team at Chestnut Tree House. As a dedicated cook with good all-round cooking skills and a love of baking, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritional meals for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Your duties will include:

  • Working to planned menus and collaborating with care staff to meet individual needs
  • Preparing and cooking meals, as well as occasional working lunches, buffets, and special events
  • Undertaking general cleaning duties and maintaining kitchen equipment in a clean and safe condition
  • Assisting with dietary and allergy requirements, including pureeing meals
  • Standing in for the chef manager, including ordering, menu planning, and supervising staff

You will need to have a flexible and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work in a hospice environment. A Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification and/or previous experience in a care setting would be advantageous.

Due to the remote location, access to your own transport is essential.
