About the Role

Burberry is seeking a highly skilled Luxury Merchandising Manager to join our EMEIA Retail Merchandising team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring retail merchandising activities within the RTW division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Collection Merchandising to forecast raw materials, ensure on-time delivery, and manage excess stock. Conduct hindsight analysis to inform future collection plans.
  • Develop seasonal margin targets at the point of Range Plan, providing strategic direction aligned with business objectives.
  • Create Capsule Collection Open to Buy Guidance, ensuring alignment with finance budgets by Division/Category. Recommend option adoption, distribution strategy, and depth to support assortment and divisional strategy.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers to build Market Open to Buy templates, assess Regional Buys, and effectively manage raw materials following order placement.
In-Season Trading
  • Develop quarterly product insights and commentary for Investor Relations teams in support of earnings announcements.
  • Provide bi-weekly stock rebalance recommendations and manage re-orders, pull forwards, and deliveries with the supply chain to optimize inventory efficiency and maximize sales revenue.
  • Oversee product lifecycle and delist proposals with Collection Merchants and Category Managers.
  • Regularly meet with Regional teams to analyze regional trade performance and offer Central support, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, VM, Client Engagement, and Regional Retail Teams to boost sales.
Team Leadership
  • Embody Burberry values and engage in coaching and mentoring activities, driving individual personal and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Retail Merchandising for a luxury brand, strong analytical skills, and deep product knowledge. They will also possess an in-depth understanding of the competitor landscape and global luxury market nuances, with a background in fast-paced commercial environments.

Estimated Salary

£65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
