Electrical Shopfitters Mate - Durham

At phs Compliance, we're expanding our operations, and we're seeking experienced Electricians Mates to support our successful team in carrying out LED lighting refurbishments for a prominent food retailer across the UK.

This role involves:

  • Conducting LED lighting replacements during regular and out-of-hours shifts, adhering to project schedules.
  • Ensuring timely completion and submission of paperwork and certifications.
  • Performing pre-surveys to determine accurate stock quantities on a site-by-site basis.
  • Liaising with the Project Manager for regular updates on scheduled jobs.
  • Receiving deliveries from various manufacturers, hire, and waste companies.
  • Having in-depth knowledge of the contract, drawings, and specifications for the project.
  • Delivering completed works to the site manager upon project completion.

The ideal candidate for this Electrical Mate role at phs will have:

  • The flexibility to work 40 hours per week or more, including evening/twilight shifts to support project requirements.
  • Flexibility to travel and stay away from home.
  • 6-month fixed-term contract.
  • Full UK manual driving license for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Electrical experience/knowledge, working towards basic electrical qualifications.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • IPAF 3a & 3b.
  • A good level of IT literacy.
  • Experience with electrical installation/project work – Specifically commercial lighting replacements.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
