CBW Staffing Solutions is currently in search of a proficient Electrical Maintenance Technician to become a part of our client's team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Our client is a prominent entity in the facilities management sector, providing exceptional services across diverse industries. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in electrical maintenance, particularly in commercial environments, and will be tasked with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to guarantee optimal performance and safety.

Compensation Package:
  • Attractive salary ranging from £40,000 to £43,600 per annum, based on experience.

  • Company van and fuel card provided.

  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours weekly).

  • Involvement in an 'out of hours' on-call rota (details to be confirmed).

  • 25 days of annual leave in addition to public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out regular inspections of electrical systems to swiftly identify and rectify issues.

  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and enhance the lifespan of electrical equipment.

  • Diagnose electrical faults and apply effective solutions to restore functionality.

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.

  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance staff and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.

  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum qualification of City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Electrician or in a similar role within the facilities management field.

  • Valid UK driving licence.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry.

  • Expertise in diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.

  • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.

  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
