About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering values-based support to individuals with mental health conditions, ensuring their well-being and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of support workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Support adults with mental health conditions, following care plans, administering medication, and assisting with daily living tasks.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs and preferences of service users are met.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, with a strong understanding of values-based support and person-centred approaches.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the service.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
